The first Education and Health City projects are set to be launched in Lahore, which are expected to significantly boost business activities in the education and health sectors. This announcement was made by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq during a key meeting held on Thursday.
The meeting focused on reviewing the ongoing development projects, including LDA City, Structural Plan Roads, and Iqbal Sector. LDA City’s Project Director Usman Nazar and Director Hafeezullah provided detailed briefings on the proposed plans for the Education City, which will cover 350 kanals, and the Health City, spanning 200 kanals.
During the meeting, DG Tahir Farooq directed the immediate handover of three additional blocks in LDA City. He instructed that possession of over 1,000 plots in the “B,” “D,” and “E” blocks of Jinnah Sector should be completed within the next two weeks. He also stressed the importance of providing all necessary facilities for home construction in blocks where plot possession has already been granted.
DG Farooq emphasized the need for recovering outstanding development charges from allottees who have yet to make their payments. The meeting was attended by Additional DG Housing, Additional DG Headquarters, Chief Metropolitan Planning, Chief Town Planner I, Chief Town Planner II, Director LDA City, Project Director LDA City, Director LAC, Deputy Director Finance, and other relevant officials.
These initiatives aim to enhance Lahore’s infrastructure, fostering growth and development in the crucial sectors of education and health.
