The arrival of DG LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa at WASA Head Office – Deputy MD WASA Ghafran Ahmed briefed regarding monsoon preparations to tackle water scarcity and projects of WASA Lahore.
To tackle water shortage, WASA Lahore is running tubewells for at least 10 hours and 18 hours in scarcity areas. In addition, clean drinking water tankers have been deployed at 23 locations across Lahore. In preparation for monsoon, 2764 km were completed so far out of 3000 km. The desalting schedule is being completed with the help of public representatives. Before monsoon 76.23 km completed two cycles of drainage line cleaning completed 120 km so far 152.46 will be completed by June 15. Construction of underground water tanks on Kashmir road and Sheranwala gate is underway which will be completed soon.
